Its medicinal effects
A pleasant-tasting, diuretic herbal tea can be made from the leaves of wild raspberry. It provides relief from many ailments, such as intestinal cramps and stomach ulcers . It relieves nausea and aids digestion. It has an astringent effect, and the tea can also be drunk in case of diarrhea .
It can be given to children for stomach aches. It is used as a gargle for sore throats, and as a mouthwash for canker sores and bleeding gums.
It has a tonic effect on the myometrium (the smooth muscle of the uterus), thus strengthening the pushing pains, facilitating childbirth . It relieves menstrual pain. It should be used to irrigate white discharge.
It also has immune-boosting and antipyretic properties. It can be used externally for skin infections and eye problems.
Preparation
Boil one heaped tablespoon (3 g) of tea leaves with 2.5 dl of water, strain after 15 minutes. Do not use a metal strainer.
